Great food, great staff and landlord. Breakfast from 8am if you need an early breakfast.
Just had a two night stay here. It was an excellent location for exploring Chester and Cheshire Oaks. Can catch the bus to Chester from just outside the George and Dragon. Lovely quiet location, very friendly owners and fab breakfasts! Would definitely come again.
Lovely pub rooms TV, fridge with bottles of water in it chilling, hairdryer, cloak alarm comfortable king-size bed, two comfy chairs Cupboard the duvet is thinnish but more than warm enough. The shower room was clean instantaneous hot water lovely toiletries 8 bottles. Plenty of ledges for all your tooth brushes etc. Great choices for breakfast cooked to order very good from really hungry to just something to keep you going, including stack of pancakes with thick bacon and Maple syrup All in all highly recommend
Lovely little Inn run by the family. The new owners are absolutely amazing and building this pub up from the ground. Very welcoming atmosphere, everyone is super friendly, the food is yummy, the menu is quite big compared to the others I've been, the location is excellent, great value for money and pets are welcome. I couldn't have asked for a better stay and if I'm ever around Chester again I'll definitely stay here. To those who are unhappy with the breakfast time please consider it being a pub. 8am is already a very early start for the pub. If you need 6am breakfast perhaps you should consider staying at Holiday Inn or Travel Lodge instead of moaning.
Gorgeous home made food! American grill style- but with lighter options for lunch. Everything from pulled fork burger to rack of ribs. Loaded fries and nachos. Plus Sunday Carvery . Regular events and community activities. Ran by a lovely family . Will be back!

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay in this traditional pub with guestrooms above. The pub itself is large with plenty of informal bar dining areas as well as a more formal table service section. We ordered a pizza to share and although it wasn't outstanding, it was very tasty and the right price point. The breakfast the next morning was also good. The sausage was really tasty and good quality. We stayed in room 1 which was a very small double with an ensuite. Decent shower. I knocked a star off the room as I discovered the room didn't have a hairdryer as advertised and I only discovered this after I had got out of the shower. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I'm sure they would have got one for me if I had noticed earlier but I didn't want to have to get dressed and go downstairs wet. We would definitely stay again.
Just had a 2 night stay at the George and Dragon. What an exceptional place. Hosts Ken and Kath were very friendly and made us feel most welcome. The rooms we had was beautiful. Exceptionally clean and spacious with a very large en suite shower room. The room had everything you could need. Breakfast was amazing again nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. The choice on offer was fantastic. I had the small English Breakfast which was cooked to perfection and enough to keep you going all day. Big thank you to Ken and Kath for your wonderful hospitality and will certainly come back again.
